Video student Harrison Steever won first place for his narrative fiction short film entitled “MLG Super-Squad 360 NoScope Defenders of Gaben” about three nerds who transform into superheros to save a coveted game console from a gnarly neighbor.
Samantha Green of the university’s Communication Program said judges couldn’t stop watching Harrison’s film, complete with witty characters who took “themselves just seriously enough to be legitimate” and judges “at the end wanted more.”
Video student Dean Hatt won runner up for his statewide public service announcement entitled “Entrepreneurship is…” where Stafford Technical Center program instructors highlighted their homegrown, student-run businesses and skills it takes to be an entrepreneur. The PSA was awarded first place earlier this year in another contest by Vermont Lt. Governor Phil Scott.
Digital Arts student Tessa Laramie won runner up for her combination of compelling storytelling and detailed animation entitled “Acidic’s Origin,” where a daughter reveals true revenge on someone she thought loved her.
Congratulations to all these students for their hard work and dedication to their craft.
