CDL DOT Physical

Department of Transportation Physical Examination and Drug Screening

Prior to your acceptance and enrollment in either the CDL A or CDL B program, each applicant must include with their application materials proof that (s)he has passed the physical examination and drug screening test required by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT). Students will be expected to pay for these services out-of-pocket at the time service is provided. The results from these two (2) tests are generally provided directly to you shortly after the examinations—and in some cases on the same day. When you successfully pass these examinations, and then apply and enroll in either program at the Stafford Driver Training School, you will be reimbursed for the cost of these expenses (up to $ 105.00) assuming you provide us with receipts from your health care provider. Students who elect to have a second examination (drug screening and/or physical) performed do so completely at their own expense and as such reimbursement will not be provided.

A listing of health care facilities in your area is provided below for your convenience. Each of these facilities has been contacted by representatives from the Stafford Driver Training School, and so they are aware of our school and have been approved to deliver services to our applicants. While all of these facilities will provide you with professional and timely services, most require that you schedule an appointment with them in advance so that they can give you the individual attention you require for these important tests.
