Summer Arts and Technology Camp at Stafford Technical Center is designed for current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Participants will engage in many different activities each related to a specific area of arts or technology. Having the ability to work independently under the supervision of a skilled instructor is essential.

The Art of Celebration: Celebrate & put your organizational skills to use through cooking activities, games and activities that you will learn and can then share with your family and friends.
Computer Animation: Do you like to draw? Like animation? Learn how to make an animation using Flash.You will design your own characters and backgrounds and see them move!
Health Careers: Did you ever wonder what those big medical terms mean? Practice technical skills such as vital signs, taking blood pressure, and how to prevent the spread of infections. Use critical thinking skills and teamwork as you learn some basic first aid techniques. Learn what it takes to work in various health careers.
Nails in a Salon Setting: Cosmetology is one of the most rewarding businesses to be in. Your job is to make people happy and feel good about themselves every day. One of the sections of Cosmetology that is very popular in today’s society is nails – artificial nails, gel polish that lasts twice as long on natural nails, and basic manicures.
Storytelling: Learn about the art of storytelling. Create storyboards, puppet shows, or flannel board stories. This is a useful skill for working in education, psychology, or just for fun.
Criminal Justice: Explore the ins and outs of being involved in law enforcement. Dispatch, investigation, and procedure among other things will be covered.
Video: Campers come and put your hands on tools that will help you create a video that you can be proud of. Use professional cameras and equipment to learn the basics of creating different styles of videos.
Yeast Breads & Desserts: Do you like to explore with your taste buds? Well now is your chance to explore breads, pizzas, calzones, and desserts. You will have fun creating delicious foods that will be both a work of art to your eyes as well as your tummy!
Auto Technology: Ever wonder what happens under the hood, or under the body of a car? What’s in there, what does that light on the dash mean? Explore some time in the garage to learn the basics of automotive technology.
