Culinary Arts Gives Back To The Community

Thanks to the efforts of Dale Coppin from Grateful Hearts and RAFFL’s Glean Team, today the Culinary Arts program is processing around 250 pounds of corn and 30 pounds of zucchini into corn chowder and a grilled corn and zucchini gratin for local food shelves. Dale reached out to Chef Lisa and Chef Greg last spring in an effort to bring Grateful Hearts’ mission of supplying value-added local produce to food shelves to Rutland County.  Dale’s organization has done a lot of good work in Bennington County already and the STC Culinary class is excited to be a part of extending their vision of feeding the hungry to our area.
