National Technical Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is a nationwide honor society that recognizes outstanding students in technical education programs. The Preliminary Application is available at the end of the 3rd marking period.  In order to be a candidate for the NTHS students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3.0 on professional skills taught and assessed in program area
  • Minimum of 3.0 OVERALL in program area
  • No unexcused absences
  • An overall 95% attendance rate for the school year to date (6 days absent not counting waived days)
  • Good Character
  • Responsibility
  • Skill Development
  • Honesty
  • Leadership
  • Participation in two or more school and or community activities (FCCLA, SkillsUSA, 4-H, Scouts, youth groups, clubs, etc)
  • Be active in 3 or more community service projects (leaf raking, volunteering, etc)

Inductions into the National Technical Honor Society occur in the spring each year. In order to be inducted into the NHTS, you will need a letter of recommendation from your program instructor and an application.
