Educational and Work Background:
I have received an education from academics, coupled with “life experience”. I am a graduate of Rutland High School and Rutland Area Vocational Center (Cabinet-making Program). Most recently I have completed a mentoring course through Vermont Technical Collage that helped prepare me for the classroom. I have also taken many post-secondary classes, such as: Architectural Drawing, Personnel Management, Political Science, and Lay Preaching. I have expanded my knowledge in the field of technology by learning how to operate CNC (computer numerical control) equipment.

My work history revolves mainly around woodworking. I have been a self-employed furniture maker, cabinet maker and carpenter. I have also used these skills as an employee for various companies. For the past several years I have been teaching adults in evening courses at Stafford Technical Center. I have put my knowledge, skills and experience to good use in the classroom. Teaching is rewarding to me, in that it enables me to help others experience a fulfilling future in an honorable trade.

Special Interests:
I enjoy working with my hands, spending time in the woods, canoeing, gardening, reading about history and taking history-related trips. Spending time with my family is very important to me, as well as taking an active role of leadership in the church.
