The Stafford Technical Center chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently held election of officers. The following students were elected to office:
President – Elyssa Clogston – Rutland High School
Vice President – Katrina Morel – Rutland High School
Secretary – Sara Graham – Rutland High School
Treasurer – Stephanie Grimes – Otter Valley Union High School
Reporter – Reba Gambill – Mill River Union High School
Historian – Lauren deLancey – Otter Valley Union High School
Parliamentarian – Heather Lafountain – Rutland High School
FCCLA is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in family and consumer sciences education. Today over 225,000 members in nearly 7,000 chapters are active in a network of associations in 50 states as well as in the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and to develop skills for life – planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication – necessary for the home and workplace.
An installation of officer’s ceremony will take place on October 14, 2008.
