Hospitality students score high on National Financial Capability Challenge

During the month of April, STC Hospitality and Entrepreneurship students took the National Financial Capability Challenge. The National Financial Capability Challenge is an awards program designed to increase the financial knowledge and capability of high school aged youth across the United States so they can take control over their financial futures. It challenges high school teachers and other educators to teach the basics of personal finance to their students, and rewards students, educators, schools, and states for their participation and their success.

Here are the results:

The state with the highest percentage of top 20% scores (among exam-takers in that state): Vermont (80 of 145)
Stafford Technical Center Hospitality and Entrepreneurship students Ashley Carroll (RHS),  Alicia Hill (RHS), Courtney Mumford (MRUHS), Nick Sweet (RHS), Emily Patch (MRUHS) and Brent White (MRUHS) scored in the top 20th percent of 84, 372 students that took the challenge this year.
