What’s In It For You?
Step 1: You will work with career professionals to identify your strengths, talents and interests. You will develop a Career Plan to guide your future.
Step 2: In the TECH FORWARD program at Stafford Technical Center you will learn the technology applications now in demand by local employers. As you move through the program, you will receive Certificates that document your ability and skill. At the end of the program, you will have a Portfolio of Accomplishments to share with employers.
**You will be provided with the technology (laptop or tablet) necessary for the program.
Step 3: The program will actively build your network of connections with internships, employment opportunities and other valuable programs, including college opportunities, based on your Career Plan in Step 1.
What Is Your Commitment?
June – August 2011, a few hours per month to complete Step 1 and to participate in a Retreat.
Late August – June 2012, 2-4 hours a day for the TECH FORWARD program.
Beginning in January 2012, internships and work opportunities, based on your interests.
