Stafford students distinguish themselves at FCCLA Conference

The Stafford Technical Center chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended the New Hampshire State FCCLA Spring Leadership Conference on March 29 and 30, 2012. Members attended workshops, had some fun meeting and interacting with other FCCLA members and competed in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition.) FCCLA is a national student organization that helps students become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. 

The results of the competitions are:

          Bronze Medal – Malarie Allen (Mill River) – Chapter Service Project

          Bronze Medal – Beth Clark (Otter Valley), Nicole Greenier ( Mill River), and Mary-Catherine Molaski (Otter Valley) – Illustrated Talk

          Silver Medal – Morgan Ballard (Mill River) and Amber Thornton (Otter Valley) – Applied Technology

          Silver Medal – Tia Gibbs ( Mill River)  and Morgan Vincent  (Rutland High School)– Chapter Showcase

          Gold Medal – Emily Booska (Otter Valley), Angela Jeffrey (Otter Valley), and Molly Nickerson (Rutland High School) – Focus on Children

 

Emily Booska, Angela Jeffrey and Molly Nickerson will represent the state of Vermont at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL in July.
