Stafford Takes Third Place at the NECI Culinary Classic!

On Friday, November 14th nine teams from throughout the state competed in the seventh annual NECI Culinary Classic at City Hall in Montpelier!  First place went to St. Johnsbury Academy, second to Northwest Technical Center, and a tie for third between Stafford Technical Center and Southwest Vermont Career Development Center.  Teams of three students each had 90 minutes to prepare three different dishes: a white bean and vegetable soup, seared chicken breast with beurre blanc, herb risotto, and broccoli, and a crepe prepared using a seasonal mystery basket.

This is the first time Stafford placed in this competition.  Our competitors, Alyssa Czarnecki, Hunter Jakob, and Isabelle Hardina, each won a knife kit and a $1,000 scholarship to NECI.
