1. New Staff
a. Stacy Hutchins – Cosmetology
b. Paula Levasseur – Cosmetology
c. Nicole Hadeka – Health Careers
d. Mark Little – Auto Refinishing/Collision
2. Hiring Process
a. Glenn explained the process we went through this past summer with additional advertising utilized in an effort to find teachers late in the hiring season. Will continue to search for a STEM instructor for 2017- 18.
b. Mary – need to take a stand with the AOE re licensing requirements for STEM. The current requirements make it very difficult for someone to transition from industry to education, especially in STEM.
3. Enrollment Report

b. Debra – Would like gender breakdown as well. Will provide this at our October meeting.
c. Jim expressed concern about the culinary industry and drug use and suggested some increased drug education in this program
4. Summer Program Report
a. Cindy came on board after the camps but shared the summer enrollment numbers.
b. There is a very competitive market for summer camps and some, including Rosie’s Girls, did not have enough students to run.
5. Standards-based grading update
a. Glenn shared the status of Stafford’s development of the “Transferable Skills” and the implementation of these this year. Meetings will be held with sending school principals and counselors to coordinate the implementation of SBG.
