Summer Full Week Theme Camps

Theme camps allow students to focus on a particular area of interest. As part of a theme camp, you will spend a week immersed in the study, practice, and exploration of your chosen topic. During this time you will work with a highly trained instructor and have access to cutting-edge technology. Campers need to have completed 6th grade to attend camp.  Camp offerings change each year and have limited space. Register for any camp at this link

July 10- 14 Auto Body

An exploratory camp to find out what is involved in car care and repair. Learn to paint in the virtual paint booth before trying out the reality paint booth. Dent repair, detailing, disassembly, and reassembly are just a few of the activities that will happen in this camp. Closed-toed shoes are required.

July 17-21 Beginner’s Guide to Auto Technology

Are you eager to learn automotive skills? Do you enjoy troubleshooting problems and successfully repairing things? Come to auto tech camp and learn the basics of car care. From checking and changing the oil, to changing a tire. Learn about tools, technology and trip safety with this week-long exploratory camp. Closed-toed shoes are required.

 

 

All Camps are from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm pick up and drop off will be in the STC front circle.  Cost is $120 per camp

July 5th-8th Stafford Exploratory Camp (Also known as Arts and Tech Camp) THIS CAMP IS FULL

This camp is designed for students who have just completed 5th, 6th or 7th grade. This camp will be an exploration of various program areas at Stafford.  Campers will visit areas as a group with a trained educator. Hands-on activities will be the focus of each area. From our engineering lab to our commercial kitchen, from construction trades to videography this camp will show campers the many sides of Stafford.  Closed toed shoes are required for safety in lab spaces.

The following camps are designed for students who have just completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.

 July 11 -15 Party Foods THIS CAMP IS FULL  Spend a week preparing for a catered event with a Stafford Chef Instructor. You will learn to prepare a variety of seasonal and fun dishes including yeast breads, dips, pastry, pizza, and a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres, all of which will be served to friends and family during the end of camp celebration on Friday. Campers will work in our professional kitchen and learn a wide range of techniques to make tasty treats. Campers will be expected to be active participants in food prep as well as clean up; closed toe shoes, clean fingernails with no polish, and long hair pulled back are a must.

 July 11-15 Intro to Cosmetology  THIS CAMP IS FULL The twenty-first century holds promise and unlimited opportunities for future cosmetologists. In this week, we will talk about the many subjects that are involved in cosmetology; from salon business to hair cutting to the study of nails. You will learn how you can achieve your goals of being a stylist here at Stafford. We will have some basic hands-on fun and play some fun cosmetology games.

If you love art and computers this is the camp for you! Campers will be taking photographs, creating digital drawings, making animations, and point-and-click video games. Come explore your creative side while using Stafford’s state-of-the-art tools.

Jul 18- 22 Introduction to Drawing and Watercolor THIS CAMP IS FULL Learn the basics of drawing with our very own  Mark Holmes. He will introduce students to the basics of creating art through drawing and watercolors. Dress in clothes that are okay to get messy or bring an overshirt as a paint smock.

Students will learn about pastry techniques, piping, batters, and dough and enjoy showcasing their work for other campers to see. Not only will campers embrace the sugar rush of the pastry realm, but each will be challenged with a task that will test their artistic baking creativity.  Campers will be expected to be active participants in food prep as well as clean up; closed-toe shoes, clean fingernails with no polish, and long hair pulled back are a must.
