Anne Massie – Tech Exploratory

Annie Massie is the Tech Exploratory Instructor at Stafford Technical Center, where she helps students discover new skills through creative, hands-on, project-based learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ecological Agriculture from The Evergreen State College, and a master’s degree in Food Systems from the University of Vermont. Over the past 12 years, Annie has taught environmental science, agriculture, food systems, outdoor education, and career exploration with learners of all ages. Her professional background includes managing farms, owning a sustainable design-build business and a farm-to-table food truck, working in hunger relief and food systems with a regional food bank and state government initiatives, and conducting research on food access and nutrition security. She believes students learn best by doing and enjoys designing hands-on, community-based projects that build technical skills, confidence, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of place. Outside of school, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and volunteering as a community radio DJ.
