Welcome to Stafford Technical Center!! Our school is an educational experience like no other! Our goal is to provide students with an engaging, meaningful, and rigorous experience in one of our 14 career and technical education programs and in our academic classes. Our staff of highly qualified professional educators, with years of industry experience, are committed to providing our students with many opportunities to grow as young adults. Students will learn on state-of-the-art equipment and have the opportunity to earn national industry certifications and/or college credit while meeting their partner high school graduation requirements. As students progress in their studies and gain technical proficiency, they have the opportunity to participate in work-based learning experiences where they apply their skills and knowledge in the field. We offer many opportunities for students to participate in statewide organizations to build their leadership skills and to learn the importance of networking. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow!

We are fortunate to have over 100 businesses in our region generously support our programs and students by guiding us as to industry trends that shape our curriculum, technology, and equipment. Our programs prepare students for college or immediate entry into the workforce. Students learn a number of skills that are pertinent to their technical field of study and in the core academic subject areas. While these skills are very important for each program, we recognize that there are also skills that students need to be proficient in to be successful in the workplace or in college. The development of these “Professional Skills” is an expectation in all programs and academic classes. Mastery of these skills will help to ensure future workplace success for students. These skills include Respect, Responsibility & Dependability, Effective Communication, Problem Solving, and Safety. We pride ourselves on ensuring that students that complete our programs have all of the technical, academic, and professional skills needed to achieve their goals.

Every person that visits Stafford walks away with a new perspective of what career and technical education truly is. Many often say that Stafford is a “hidden gem” in Rutland County and they had no idea we do what we do here. We welcome you to come and visit our school so you can see for yourself the amazing opportunities we offer. Your success truly could start here!

Our Mission

We partner with our students and communities to provide a rigorous, relevant, diverse and exploratory learning experience in a safe and supportive environment, resulting in academic and career excellence.

We believe:
•A dynamic education requires meaningful relationships between high school and community partners, business leaders and employers, post-secondary providers and families to ensure that the instructional staff, curriculum and equipment remains innovative, current and embeds emerging technologies.

•The opportunity to acquire career, academic, technical, and professional skills within a safe, structured and respectful learning environment is vital to the success of our students. It is through our high expectations and personal involvement that this is achieved.

•Our instructional programming is challenging, relevant and aligned with the changing needs of the local and global workforce. We provide students with meaningful exposure to a wide selection of hands-on and technologically rewarding experiences leading to a variety of career pathways that include apprenticeships, further post-secondary education, and/or the ability to enter the workforce immediately after program completion.

We will accomplish this by:
•Providing a safe and inclusive environment that promotes pride in work and a sense of self-worth while teaching our students the importance of valuing diversity and the ability to respect others by developing effective communication and life skills.
•Delivering comprehensive, equitable and life-long learning opportunities to all students which will enable them to acquire the skills, industry knowledge and behaviors needed for employment and further education.
•Providing students with increased access and opportunities to explore employment and further post-secondary learning options that are available to make informed career and educational choices.
•Positively promoting the strengths of career and technical education.
•Encouraging students, families, educators and businesses to collaborate in delivering educational opportunities to all students.
