Cristina Kumka – Video Communications

Cristina Kumka started her career in broadcast journalism at Emerson College in Boston. While earning her degree, she contributed to WERS 88.9FM, the college’s award-winning radio station, as a host and volunteer producer, worked as a press assistant in the office of then-Boston Mayor Tom Menino, and as a production assistant for NECN. From 2008 to 2012 she wrote for the Rutland Herald covering statewide education issues and breaking news. She most recently worked as the government channel coordinator, technical director, videographer and manager at PEGTV in Rutland. She has been a contributor to Vermont Public Radio, local radio, The Mountain Times newspaper and often acts as a journalism consultant to local high schools and colleges.
