On November 13, 2024, the STC PS&CJ Program went on a field trip to the Vermont Police Academy to assist and be role players during Practicals week. Students participated in scenarios, got a tour of the facilities, and guest speaker Det/Sgt Notte of the Vermont State Police discussed careers in law enforcement, his role for the VSP Polygraph Unit, and new developments in notetaking, interviews, and polygraph equipment.
This type of collaboration produces opportunities for networking for our students. It also allows them the chance to understand what being a student at the Police Academy isl like.
