In our cosmetology class, students got creative with a color wheel project! Learning about primary, secondary, and tertiary colors (plus complementary shades!) is key to mastering hair color formulation. Students started with milk and added food coloring to make primary colors. From there they were able to mix secondary colors. Then using complementary colors they attempted to neutralize colors. This helps them understand how to use hair color to provide the client with the desired outcome.
