Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of these processes through hands-on application of the techniques used in the following: thermal cutting (OFC and plasma); shielded metal arc welding (6011 and 7018)); gas metal arc welding (ER70S); and gas tungsten arc welding (steel/stainless/aluminum). The structure and duration of this experience is a basic introduction and therefore it is not designed to build proficiency in any area.
